How many gardens will be open to visit?
We have 17 gardens open to visit, spread across the village, including long standing favourites that open every year and some new gardens that are opening for the first time.
Will there be a map or guide?
View our village map online. Paper copies will also be available on the day.
Are the gardens within walking distance?
The gardens are spread across the villages of Marton and Grafton. It's about a mile walk from one end of the villages to the other. Expect to take a few hours to leisurely stroll around the gardens, taking in the sights.
A courtesy minibus will operate throughout the day, bus stops will be located at the far end of Grafton near Well House, Grafton Green, Marton Village Hall and the Brambier Lane entrance to Marton.
Do I need to visit the Gardens in a particular order?
No, you can visit the gardens in whichever order you wish.
Are the gardens wheelchair accessible?
There are a wide range of different gardens open to visit on the day. We regret that we are unable to guarantee our gardens will be suitable for wheelchair access.
Are the gardens suitable for children?
Yes children are welcome to visit the gardens. The children from Marton cum Grafton Primary School have been decorating garden gnomes ready for a gnome hunt through the gardens.Children are also encouraged to take part in the games and activities on Grafton Green and visit the farm animals by the Village Hall.
